mtc was founded with the goal to provide high-quality professional IT/AV Project Management services to foreign companies looking to expand in Japan. With bi-lingual staff who have extensive IT, audio-visual, construction and design experience we can deliver projects on-time and on-budget without any unwanted stress or surprises and provide post-project support for any issues or changes that may occur.

We have partnered with a number of companies domestically and internationally to endeavour to be able to fulfill your needs and procure the item you need, when you need it, with full compatibility to work in Japan. And if it is not available in Japan we can confirm that for you and provide alternatives.
When should we start planning for our IT/AV/Physical Security needs?
The earlier the better. Depending on your goals for your office, the requirements of the technology might have an impact from the initial building selection phase when considering requests such as cooling and electrical load and emergency/backup power, circuit provider redundancy and path diversity, physical space requirements for special use spaces like studios and theatres, or simply confirming the maximum size of equipment which can be physically moved into your office.
How long does it take to procure equipment in Japan?
Procurement in Japan can take longer than expected depending on the item, manufacturer or type of item required. For example CAT6A cabling has long leadtimes due to the impact of the nation-wide implementation of "GIGA School" upgrades.
While we strive to hold stock of the most commonly used items such as structured cabling materials, server racks, patch cables, power cables and common accessories, depending on volume and requirements we may not have the item you require in stock. As space and transportation costs are high in Japan, and many commonly used items are foreign brands and imported into Japan there is often not much local stock held - leadtime of 2-3 months should be expected for most items.
